Sam Edward Hall – obituary

     Sam Edward Hall, 69, of Whittier, went to be with Jesus, Friday morning July 20, 2012 at Tsali Care Center in Cherokee. Born March 23, 1943 in Roswell, New Mexico, he was the son of the late Samuel and Nina Louise Poole Hall. He was employed as a drywall finisher and a traveling evangelist, passionately spreading the light of Jesus as he traveled. He was a wonderful, loving husband and grandfather. He loved singing and sang as part of his ministry. He enjoyed working on automobiles, working in the yard, and spending time outdoors.

     He is survived by his wife of 51 years,  Margie Mae Taylor Hall; two sons, Sam E. Hall Jr of Modesto, Calif. and Timothy D. Hall of Princeton, W. Va.; two daughters-  Donna S. Bowles of Goldsboro, and Virginia Strickland of Whittier; one brother- Thomas Hall of Modesto, Calif.; five sisters, Barbara Waller of Bakersfield, Calif., Jane Queen of Sacramento, Calif., Joann Miller , Susan Hall and Judy Lindsey all of Modesto, Calif.; four grandchildren  and four great grandchildren.

     The funeral will be held Sunday, July 22, in the chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services in Sylva. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Sylva.
