Cherokee Preservation Foundation will host its annual Community Celebration event on Friday, May 11 for grantees, partners and EBCI community members. The event, which this year is a celebration of the Foundation’s 10th anniversary, will take place at the Cherokee Indian Fairgrounds from 11:30am – 2pm.  It will feature a complementary Indian dinner at noon prepared by the North American Indian Women’s Association (NAIWA).

At 11:30am, approximately one dozen grantees will be at exhibit booths and will talk informally with visitors about their projects and programs.

Immediately after lunch, guests will be entertained by the Oconaluftee Indian Village Dancers and will hear an update about the Cherokee language revitalization effort and watch a short video about the work of Cherokee Preservation Foundation and its grantees.

All community members are welcome and RSVPs are not necessary.
