WHITTIER – Betty Sue Bowers Crowder, 68, of the Qualla Community, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, May 8th, 2011 in a Buncombe County Hospital. A native of Swain County, she was the daughter of the late Morris and Bertha Ball Bowers. She was a member of Deep Creek Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a sister Lilly Mae Huskey.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Jackie Crowder, one step-son, Michael Dean Crowder of Whittier, one brother, Floyd Bowers and wife Bettie of Bryson City, one sister, Rosalee Mullgrav of Dayton, Ohio, and five nephews.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday May 12, in the Chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Revs Clifford Willis and Terry Taylor will officiate with burial in Euchella Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1until 2:00 PM Thursday at the Funeral Home.
