Over 800 participate in Cherokee Harvest race

FOOTBALL: Braves fall to Bulldogs in conference opener
Cherokee (3-3) went to .500 on the season as they traveled to Murphy on Friday, Sept. 23. The Bulldogs (5-1) topped the Braves, riddled with injuries in several key positions, by a score of 42-13.
JV FOOTBALL: Murphy tops Braves on Homecoming Night
The Cherokee JV Braves (1-3) fell to the Murphy JV Bulldogs by a score of 50-28 during Homecoming Night at Ray Kinsland Stadium on Thursday, Sept. 22.
CROSS COUNTRY: Middle School Braves, Lady Braves take fourth in Canton
The Cherokee Middle School Braves and Lady Braves cross country teams both took fourth place overall at a meet held at Canton Middle School on Wednesday, Sept. 21.
CROSS COUNTRY: CMS girls win Western Carolina Invitational
The Cherokee High School and Middle School cross country teams competed in the Western Carolina Invitational in Cullowhee on Saturday, Sept. 17.
FOOTBALL: Mustangs top Braves under “Thursday Night Lights”
The Cherokee Braves (3-2) shared the spotlight with the Smoky Mountain Mustangs (4-0) as their game at Carr Hooper Stadium in Sylva was featured as WMYA-TV’s game of the week on “Thursday Nights Lights”.
FOOTBALL: Braves blank Eagles in Tenn. road win
Cherokee (3-1) remained undefeated in the state of Tennessee this season as they put up over 350 yards of total offense on Friday.
