The Cherokee Lady Braves varsity cross country team took first place out of three teams at the Asheville Cross Country Classic at Asheville Christian Academy on Saturday, Oct. 1.

The annual Cherokee Harvest Half Marathon and 5K event was held on the morning of Saturday, Oct. 1.

Cherokee (3-3) went to .500 on the season as they traveled to Murphy on Friday, Sept. 23. The Bulldogs (5-1) topped the Braves, riddled with injuries in several key positions, by a score of 42-13.

The Cherokee JV Braves (1-3) fell to the Murphy JV Bulldogs by a score of 50-28 during Homecoming Night at Ray Kinsland Stadium on Thursday, Sept. 22.

The Cherokee Middle School Braves and Lady Braves cross country teams both took fourth place overall at a meet held at Canton Middle School on Wednesday, Sept. 21.
