The Cherokee Middle School track and field team participated in a tri-school meet with Swain Co., who acted as host, and Rosman at the Cherokee Central Schools track on the afternoon of Monday, May 10.

WRESTLING: Braves weekly results round-up

The Cherokee Middle School track and field team hosted Martins Creek and Rosman on the afternoon of Friday, May 7.

Cherokee Braves fans got a treat as Daniel Thompson crossed the plate to score the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning to give them a 5-4 win over the Hiwassee Dam Eagles at home on the afternoon of Friday, May 7.

A four school meet was held at Cherokee High School on the afternoon of Wednesday, May 5 with Cherokee, Swain Co., Andrews, and Rosman high schools participating. 

After having several wrestlers qualify for the NCHSAA 1A State Tournament last season, this year’s Cherokee High School (CHS) varsity team is looking to bring home some hardware this year. 

The Cherokee High School varsity track and field team hosted a three-team meet with Rosman and Tri-County Early College on the afternoon of Wednesday, April 28.

The Georgia Swarm has announced that Harrah’s Cherokee Casinos and the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians have extended their co-presenting sponsorship of the Swarm for the next five seasons.
