Jackson County TDA announces launch of new website
The Jackson County Tourism Development Authority (TDA) is pleased to announce the launch of its new website, www.mountainloversnc.com, that will support the “Play On” branding campaign on Dec. 17.
WCU, Tribe research project focuses on diabetes, mental health issues
A research project that involves Western Carolina University’s College of Health and Human Sciences and the Eastern Band of the Cherokee Indians is examining the relationship between mental health issues, such as depression, and the management and control of diabetes.
Council tables resolution seeking to limit fishing guides to only EBCI members
Tribal Council tabled a resolution during their regular monthly session on Thursday, Dec. 11 that would limit fishing guides to only those who are EBCI tribal members.
