Council tables legislation that would ban bear pits
Tribal Council tabled legislation (Ord. No. 116 – 2016), submitted by Principal Chief Patrick Lambert, during its Budget Council session on Tuesday, April 5 that would ban the confinement of bears in a pit or any underground enclosures.
Council upholds Governmental Affairs veto
Last month, Tribal Council voted 8-3 to place the Tribal Governmental Affairs budget under their budget – monies that were previously located in the Executive Office’s budget.
