The EBCI Cooperative Extension Center has two new employees including Rick DeLoughery who takes the helm as director and Katie Lambert, an EBCI tribal member, who will man the front desk as the administrative secretary.
Cherokee Community Health addresses new HIV/AIDS recommendations
According to the CDC, as cited in the U.S.Preventive Services Task Force paper, approximately 1.1 million Americans are living with HIV.
Federal declinations falling in Indian Country
The Tribal Law and Order Act was enacted into law in 2010 with the main goal of getting more violent crimes prosecuted in Indian Country. Several years in, and it appears to be working.
