As this election season continues, I believe it is important to educate and provide a venue for young people to participate and voice their opinions.

The coordinators of the Miss Cherokee Pageant wish to thank all those responsible for making the 2014 Pageant a success.

The JV Braves concluded their 2014 season much the way they started it; with style. They traveled to Andrews on Thursday, Oct. 9 and came back to Cherokee with a 40-16 win, a second place finish in the Smoky Mountain Conference and redemption.

I would like to express our appreciation to our family, friends and co-workers for all the help, condolences and well wishes.
