Thomas “Tommy” Leslie Lambert, age 60, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Sept. 18, 2021 at Cherokee Indian Hospital. He is the son of the late Rev. Thomas Herman Lambert and Marilyn Goforth Lambert.

Annie Welch French, age 87, of the Big Cove Community in Cherokee, passed away on Friday, Sept. 17, 2021, surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of the late Adam and Annie Powell Welch.

Arthur Wade, 74, of Whittier, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, Sept. 16, 2021.

Brian Roy Gomez, 32, left this world to be with our Heavenly Father to be the “True Angel” he was on Saturday, Sept. 4.

Evelyn O. Legassey, age 89, of Sylva, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 11, 2021 at Harried Regional Hospital, after a brief illness.

Nellie Rita Littlejohn, age 62, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2021 after an extended illness. She is the daughter of the late Jim Littlejohn and Mollie Littlejohn.

Barbara T. Owle, age 68, of Murphy, passed away Monday, Aug. 30, 2021, at her home. Mrs. Owle was born Oct. 14, 1952, in Cherokee to the late Tom Teesateskie and the late Jeanette Rattler Teesateskie.

Desiree Joyce “Desi” George, age 62, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 12, 2021 at Cherokee Indian Hospital following a brief illness.
