Six Young Leaders honored for completing the Jones-Bowman Program
Six young leaders who have recently earned undergraduate or graduate degrees and have completed their Jones-Bowman Leadership fellowships were honored last week by Cherokee Preservation Foundation and the families of the late Principal Chief Leon Jones and the late Mr. James Bowman, for whom the program is named.

Child abuse and neglect has been a problem on the Cherokee Reservation for years, and it is a problem that continues to grow. While reported cases of child abuse have grown in number and can often be seen on local news broadcasts, cases of child neglect do not often receive as much attention.
