Tribal Council March calendar

The Tribal Casino Gaming Enterprise (TCGE) of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians has filed a lawsuit in federal court against several construction companies it alleges are responsible for a collapse at a parking deck at Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort on Feb. 19, 2015.

Note: This is a schedule for Tribal Court, and defendants are scheduled to appear on the dates listed. It should be noted that the following defendants have only been charged with the crimes listed and should be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Stacey Hornbuckle, an EBCI tribal member, provided a story about an elk that is not your typical wildlife story.

The Ethics Committee, formed by the Tribal Council, has been working diligently to formulate the first documented tribal ethics policy specifically addressing the conduct of elected officials.
