The North American Indian Women’s Association (NAIWA) Cherokee Chapter will host the annual Strawberry Festival at the Cherokee Indian Fairgrounds on Saturday, May 17 from 9am – 2pm.
The event will open at 9am with an opening ceremony and the telling of the Strawberry Legend. Children’s activities including Cornhole game will start at 10am and community entertainment and demonstrations are planned for 11am. Adult and youth contests in various strawberry products (baked goods, jams, preserves, etc.) will start at 1pm with the prizes awarded at 2pm.
