Norma Michelle Rattler, age 44, of Cherokee passed away on Aug. 30, 2012 at Mission Hospital in Asheville following a brief Illness.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Norman M. Rattler and Cornelia Lossiah Rattler; a son, Travis Brent Wade, and a sister, Woodie Denise Rattler.
She is survived by her husband, Brian Keith Watty; son, Joseph Lee Otter; daughter, Cornelia Iona Rattler; stepson, Ryan Keith Watty; brother, Dennis L. Rattler; and sister, Esther S. Roach, and one grandchild.
The family received friends on Saturday, Sept. 1 at Piney Grove Church. The body remained at the church until the service hour of 2pm on Sunday, Sept.2.
The Rev. James “Bo” Parris officiated. Pall bearers were John Toineeta, Kenny Roach, William Tosh Davis, Henry Shell, Alvin Tolley and Jake Lambert.
