NEWLAND – Three members of the Cherokee Braves varsity wrestling team have qualified for the upcoming state meet after placing in the 1A West Regional meet held at Avery County High School on Saturday, Feb. 10. With fourth place finishes in their weight divisions, Seth Sneed (132lb.), Sam Sneed (152lb.), and Caden Pheasant (160lb.) all qualified for the state meet on Feb. 16-17 at North Carolina A&T in Greensboro.
