UNION, SC – Mrs. Lillian Faye Rose Shetley, age 79, husband of Don Shetley of Union, SC passed away Thursday, Feb. 25, 2016 at Union Medical Center.
Mrs. Shetley was born in Cherokee, NC on April 29, 1936. She was the daughter of Elsie Rodger Rose Kimsey of Cherokee and the late Wayne Rose. She was a graduate of the University of South Carolina, Union, receiving an associate’s degree in art studies. Mrs. Shetley worked alongside her husband at Allstate Insurance Agency for many years. She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and was also a member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Donna Faye Shetley and husband John D. Karvelas of Spartanburg; a son, Don Raye Shetley and wife Jennifer of Union; two sisters, Freda Wright and Wanda Weldon of Cherokee; two granddaughters, Sarah Evans Shetley and Lilly Frances Shetley, both of Union.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, Feb. 28 at Tabernacle Baptist Church with services conducted by Rev. Robert Chapman.
