Sally Ann Crowe Ensley, of Cherokee, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 while visiting family in Walhala, SC.
Sally is survived by her children, Beverly Ensley Webb of Cherokee/Whittier, Cynthia “Joann” Ensley Bryson of Cherokee, Sharon Ensley Queen of Cherokee, Pamela Ensley Morrison of Clemson, SC, Leslie “Clement” Ensley of Bryson City, Joseph Ensley of Canton, NC, William “Billy” Ensley of Cherokee; 22 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren; five brothers and four sisters.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Ensley; her mother and father, Cinda Reed Crowe and Edwin Endros Crowe; a brother, William “Billy” Crowe; and a grandson, Dustin Jerrold Queen.
Sally was a true Godly woman and known for her strong faith in her Lord, Jesus Christ, her devotion and dedication to learning his word, a loving mother, and grandmother and her love for family. Though her soul is now welcomed on the streets of gold she will be deeply missed by those of us who are left behind until we see each other again.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Aug. 3 at 2pm at the Cherokee Pentecostal Holiness Church. Revs. Clyde Webb, Tommy Gibson, and Bruce Chambers will officiate with burial in the Crowe Family Cemetery.
The body will be taken back to the church at 5pm on Saturday to await the hour of service.
