Congratulations to T. W. Saunooke, Yellowhill School Board Representative, for being elected to the North Carolina School Board Association (NCSBA) for a two-year term. Mr. Saunooke is the first Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians Tribal member to be elected to serve on the NCSBA.

Congratulations also to Kendall Toineeta and Avery Mintz for being named to the BSMC All-Conference Basketball Team. Coach Chris Mintz was also named All-Conference Coach of the Year. Honorable Mention went to Bree Stamper, Peri Wildcatt, and LeLe Lossiah.
