THANKS

Again, our thanks to Cherokee DOT for their hard work during last week’s snow and ice event.  We appreciate their efforts to keep our roadways clear and safe.

THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS

Our sympathy goes out to the friends and family of Ryan Arch Miller, 20, who passed away Wednesday.  Ryan is the grandson of Dude and Wanetta Miller Davis.  Dude is a Club employee and works at the Children’s Home. Please keep this family in your thoughts and prayers.

THANK YOU FROM FAMILY SUPPORT SERVICES

Friday was the last day that Family Support Services will be a part of the Cherokee Boys Club.  This program will become a part of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians’ new Department of Health and Human Services Division.  Barbara Jones, Manager of Family Support Services, and all of her staff (including Charlotte Littlejohn, Leslie Lossiah, Butch Sanders, Kathy Holloway and Joelean Fox) thanked everyone at the Boys Club for providing personal and administrative support to their department for many, many years.

Fortunately, the staff will not be relocating any time soon and will still have their offices on the Boys Club campus where they have been operating for the past few years.  The Club wishes Family Support the best of luck in their transition and assures the staff that they will always be a part of the Boys Club’s family.

GET WELL WISHES

Please keep Johnny Crowe in your thoughts and prayers as he recovers.  Johnny was taken to Mission Hospital last week with chest pains but tests indicated there was no damage to his heart.  He has returned home to Cherokee where he will be recuperating for a few days.  He hopes to return to work Tuesday.
