Frances M. Catt Walkingstick, 71, of the Yellowhill Community went home to be with the Lord Monday, Nov. 26, 2012 at her residence. A native of Swain County, she was the daughter of the late Dave and Cornelia George Catt. She was preceded in death by a son, Duane E. Walkingstick; a brother, David Johnson Catt; and a grandchild, LeShea Littlejohn.
She is survived by two daughters, Deborah Walkingstick of Cherokee, Marian Littlejohn of Cherokee; five grandchildren, Michael Walkingstick, Tyler Washington, Merissa Walkingstick, Duane Walkingstick, Jr., Eric Jimenez; three great grandchildren; one sister, Bootie Catt of Cisco, TX; two nephews and one niece.
Funeral services will be held at 2p.m. Friday at Aquoni Baptist Chapel. Burial will be in the Birdtown Cemetery. The body will be taken to the church at 4p.m. Thursday to await the hour of service.
