The Cherokee JV Braves football team won the championship 40-22 against Hayesville JV on Thursday, Oct. 13. Brandon Buchanan connected with Kobe Toineeta on two touchdown passes to help lead the JV Braves.
Toineeta intercepted a pass in the third quarter and ran it back 65 yards for a score and he also ran for a 6-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter.
Austin Padilla ran for a 19-yard score in the first quarter and Justin Brady ran for a 6-yard run in the second quarter.
