Terry Wayne Hurst Sparks

 

                Terry Wayne Hurst Sparks, native of South Webster, went to join our Lord on Jan. 14, 2010.  He passed away in Ironton, Ohio. 

                He was born Jan. 23, 1972 in Danville, Illinois.  Surviving are his parents Karen Wachacha, of Cherokee, NC, and adoptive parents Jimmie and Mary Sparks of South Webster; also Diane Sparks of Oak Hill.  In addition to his parents, he is survived by a son, Joshua Sparks, of Greenup, KY; 3 brothers, Alpha Donley and Kevin Donley – both of Pedro, Ohio and Jimmie Wayne Sparks, of Oak Hill; 3 sisters, Anegelique Neff, Betty Friend, Alyine Donley, all of Pedro, Ohio; and a step-sister Danielle Duraham, of South Webster. 

                Terry is a graduate of the Buckeye Hills Vocational School and was a former auto body repairman with Gralup Auto Body in Huntington, W. Va.  He was of the Baptist faith. 

                He was preceeded in death by maternal grandparents Robert Eugene Hurst, of Escondito, Calif.; Bissie and William Pruitt, of Ohio; paternal grandparents Woodrow and Gladys Sparks, of Ohio; great-grandparents Naomi (White) Hurst and Marion Hurst, of Indonala, Illionois; and Mr. and Mrs. Cecil and Delores Meade, of Indonala, Illionois.

                Graveside services were held at 1pm on Tuesday, Jan. 19 at Lawrence Furnace Cemetary with Rev. Jesse Sizemore officiating.  There was no public visitation.  Phillips Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
