Four members of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians competed in the 34th Annual Marine Corps Marathon held recently in Washington, DC.

The Cherokee High School Varsity Cheer squad will be competing in the 2009 NCHSAA Cheerleading Championships on Saturday, Nov. 7 at the Raleigh Convention Center.
