Harrah’s Cherokee donates $5,000 to ALS
Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort, along with its employees, raised $5,000 for the ALS Association during the month of September.
U.S. Forest Service announces temporary closure of Ball Creek Rd.
The US Forest Service announced on Thursday, Sept. 25 that Ball Creek Road (NFSR 83), located in Macon County, on the Nantahala Ranger District of the Nantahala National Forest, will be temporarily closed for its entire length from approximately Monday, Sept. 29 until late October, depending on the duration of the road work. Ball Creek Road begins at Coweeta Hydrologic Laboratory and ends at Upper Nantahala Road (NFSR 67).
Harrah’s Cherokee employees donate to Cherokee PHHS
Through a community service initiative led by the Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort Operations division, employees collected 10,264 needed items for the Cherokee Public Health and Human Services (PHHS) division.
