Bill introduced to restore Alaskan mountain name to Denali
President Donald Trump issued an executive order recently changing the name of the mountain known as Denali to Mount McKinley – a name it had from 1917 to 2015. Now, two Alaskan senators have introduced a bill to change it back.

COMMENTARY: Revelations from Selu
In 2001, Jenean Hornbuckle, an Eastern Band of Cherokee artist, and I were hired to produce a statue of Selu. Selu was the Cherokee mother of corn. My first step into the project was to read the Selu story.

Gadusi Bike Community opens doors to mountain biking
The Gadusi Bike Community was founded by Jones-Bowman Fellow Levi West in 2019. Each Jones-Bowman LAP fellow must complete a leadership goal as well as a cultural goal and have $4000 to accomplish these goals. As a leadership goal, West had a desire to share his love of mountain biking with the community for good reason.
