COMMENTARY: Stepping over garbage
Long walks by crystal clear creeks, jaunts up mountains, or a driveway on the parkway. It is rare to have this type of nature on your doorstep. That is why it is so disappointing when too often we kick aside burger wrappers on the way out of our doors.

We do have homelessness on the Boundary and there are those who are both forced into homelessness and those who are homeless by choice.

We must connect to what Jesus is doing and we will do well. Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water. God had his hand even though he began to be distracted by the storm and began to sink. Jesus, with His right hand, held him. Wherever Jesus is, there is safety. Answers are in the Church. You can also be an answer.

As a Tribe, we continue to struggle with pet care. Individually, we love ‘em. Most of the responses we get when we inquire about the thoughts of the public are positive when it comes to ensuring the health and safety of animals on the Qualla Boundary. P

As the Church gets older it slows down. We all get out of life what we put into it. Society now seems to want to take from others and give everything to us, but does that really ever happen?
