Joseph Edward (Eddie) Almond Jr., 65, of Cherokee, passed away on Thursday, May 27.  He was born Aug. 4, 1955 in Bryson City to parents Ruth Jean Cole Almond and Joseph Edward Almond, Sr. He had one sister, Ann Almond Howell (Bill) of Bryson City.

Robert Thomas “Tommy” Reed, 67, of Sevierville, Tenn. and formerly of Cherokee, passed away unexpectedly of a stroke on Friday, May 7, 2021 at the University of Tennessee Medical Hospital in Knoxville, Tenn.

Sally Catolster Sampson, age 61, passed away on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at Tsali Care Center, after an extended illness.
