The Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians (EBCI) Division of Commerce has announced a Primary Trailhead shift for Soco Falls, one of Cherokee’s most visited natural attractions.

Wayohi (Wolftown) Dinilawigi (Tribal Council) Rep. Bo Crowe was convicted of misdemeanor aggravated reckless endangerment in Tribal Court, receiving 1-year probation with a $250 fine on June 4. He was also required to pay court and probation supervision costs.

On the morning of June 6, Dinilawigi (Tribal Council) voted unanimously to adopt Resolution No. 212 (2024), recognizing every Tuesday prior to Thanksgiving as Tsalagi Aniwonisgi Didanvdadisdi (Cherokee Speakers Memorial Day) to honor the lives of fluent Cherokee speakers who have passed.
