Tribal Court Judgment Summary for June 8

This month was another busy month for my office but a lot of good things for our people have been accomplished.

Note: This is a schedule for Tribal Court, and defendants are scheduled to appear on the dates listed. It should be noted that the following defendants have only been charged with the crimes listed and should be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Western Carolina University recently renewed an agreement with Cherokee tribes from North Carolina and Oklahoma in which the university pledges to continue its commitment to the academic study and promotion of Cherokee language, history and culture.

Patrick Bradley Allison, 42, an EBCI tribal member and tribal employee, was killed as the result of a head-on collision that occurred on Birdtown Road (US-19) on the morning of April 14, 2015.
