A small section of the hotel parking garage collapsed at Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort on Thursday, Feb. 19.
Leann Bridges, Harrah’s Cherokee Regional vice-president of marketing, related “A section of the entry-way ramp failed. There were no injuries and damage was minimal. The safety of our guests and employees is our primary concern, and all vehicles have been relocated. An assessment is in process and Emergency Services is monitoring the situation.”
Ray Stamper, EBCI Public Safety communications manager, said they received a call involving the ramp leading to the third floor of the parking deck. “All emergency departments were sent due to an unconfirmed report. There were no injuries from the actual incident nor were any of EBCI Emergency Responder’s personnel injured.”
