Agnes Geona (Owle) Bigmeat, 79, passed away on Aug. 10, 2014. Agnes is a native of Cherokee but made Flint, Michigan her home for most of her life. Agnes was an avid sports fan and was retired from Hurley Medical Center after working 25 years as a Nutritionist. Agnes is the daughter of the late William Owle and Rosa Lossiah Owle.
Along with parents, Agnes is preceded in death by her husband Welch Bigmeat; sister, Mary Alice Armachain; brothers, Eli Lossiah and Bennett Owle; children, Steven Blazzer and Faith Blazzer; and nephew Doug Armachain.
Agnes is survived by her daughter, Rosalynn Garner; and grandchildren, Nathan Garner, Faith Garner, Shamir Garner and Blake Garner all of Flint, Mich.; eight loving great grandchildren; special nephew Mike Milholen and wife Hattie; special niece Gabby; and cousins Betty Toineeta and Hazel Shell.
A visitation will be held on Friday, Aug. 15 at Long House Funeral Home at 2pm. Burial will follow at the Shell Family Cemetery located in the Yellowhill Community. Pall Bearers include, Nathan Garner, Blake Garner, Johntavis Small and other family members. Pastor James “Bo” Parris will officiate.
