David Bradley, 82, of 11 Tsali Manor passed away Friday, Aug. 8, 2014 at Memorial Mission Hospital in Asheville.
A member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, he was born in Swain County to the late General and Julia Bradley. David was an US Army Veteran and retired businessman of Cherokee. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed his numerous trips to Alaska, NASCAR racing, and listening to country music.
He was pre-deceased by his wife, JoAnn Ayers Bradley; brother, Lee Bradley; and sister, Doris B. Greene.
Surviving are daughters, Doris Bradley Greene and husband Roy Greene of Waynesville, and Donna Bradley and husband Dr. Richard Bunio of Whittier. Grandchildren are Anna Hipps of Chapel Hill, Travis Hipps of Chapel Hill, Garrett Greene of Asheville, Matthew Bradley of Pittsfield, Mass., and Ryan Bradley of Memphis, Tenn. and his stepson, Draven Wade of Sylva; brothers, Fredrick Jack Bradley of Cherokee; sisters, Trudy Fann of Johnson City, Tenn., Vivian McCollough of Whittier, and Faye Queen of Asheville, and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Monday, Aug. 11 at Crisp Funeral Home in Bryson City.
Serving as pallbearers will be Matthew Bradley, Ryan Bradley, Travis Hipps, Roy Green, Rick Bunio, and Barry Hipps.
Burial will be in the Birdtown Cemetery.
