Today, I am remembering Feb. 19, 2014. To most people, it is just another day, but for my family it is the one year anniversary of my “Gramus”. It has been a year of firsts without her, but nonetheless a year of laughing, loving and remembering, just the way she would have wanted it to be.
I remember that night a year ago when my mother called me with pain and hurt in her voice and said, “Skye, she’s gone.”
My heart stopped and my world came to a halt. I’m not sure which hurt more, seeing her leave or watching her go. I keep close to my heart the wisdom she shared with me and of her playing bingo. She was go many things to so many people and I’m glad she was my “Gramus”. She will always be missed by those who know her best. Heaven gained another Angel, and I look forward to seeing her again one day. I love you “Gramus” and miss you all the time. You will never be forgotten.
