Lucinda Lambert Sampson, 91, passed away on Feb. 16, 2014, surrounded by family, at Tsali Care Center following a brief illness. Lucinda is the daughter of the late Charlie Lambert and Encie Feather Lambert.
Lucinda is preceded by her husband Enoch Sampson and children, Don Lambert, Charles David Sampson and Cynthia Marie Kersey; as well as three grandchildren and one great-grand child.
Surviving children are Kenny Lambert of Cherokee, JoAnn Notargiacomo of Lancaster, Penn., Marietta Toineeta of Cherokee, Dorothy Sampson of Staunton, Va., Enoch Crowe Jr. of Cherokee, Bunny Sampson of Cherokee and Amber Cruz of Cherokee. Lucinda also leaves behind seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
A visitation was held on Feb. 18 at the Cherokee Wesleyan Church starting at 4pm. Lucinda will remain at the church to await the hour of service on Feb. 20 at 11am. Burial will follow at the Oocumma Cemetery with pallbearers: Enoch Crowe Jr., Landon Crowe, Yohna Crowe, Spirit Lossiah, Thomas Lossiah and Alex Cruz. Pastor James “Bo” Parris and Pastor Patricia Crockett will officiate.
