CULLOWHEE – The College of Education and Allied Professions at Western Carolina University will host its second annual golf tournament on Saturday, March 29, at High Vista Country Club in Mills River.

Cost of participation, including box lunches, is $80 for individuals and $62.50 for WCU students. Mulligans are available for purchase.

The tournament is a two-man captain’s choice format, with a shotgun start at 1 p.m.

Tournament organizers also are seeking hole sponsorships at $125 each to help celebrate the 125th anniversary of the founding of the university.

Proceeds from the tournament will go toward scholarship funds for students in the College of Education and Allied Professions.

“The purpose of the tournament is to reconnect with some of our alumni from the College of Education and Allied Professions,” said David Claxton, assistant to the dean for development in the college and a faculty member in the School of Teaching and Learning. “We want to share some of the great things currently happening in our college and some of the exciting plans on the horizon while enjoying some early season golf, all in the name of helping students at WCU.”

To sponsor, to register or for more information, contact Claxton at 828-227-3556 or claxton@wcu.edu. Registration deadline in Monday, March 17.
