The CMS Braves defeated the Hayesville Yellow Jackets 39-20 in the semifinal round on Monday Feb. 3. Cherokee continued to employ their solid brand of parsimonious defense by holding the Yellow Jackets to only a few points each quarter.
Isaiah Bradley led the Braves with 14pts, while Tye Mintz contributed 12. Other notable scorers included: Holden Straughan 7, Isaiah Evans 3, Jo Lossiah 2, and Nate Evans 1.
After the victory, coach Micah Swimmer stated, “Otsaliheliga Oganetsonvi” which translates into “We are happy we played ball.”
