The Girl Scout Cookie Program is the largest girl-led business in the country and has taught Girl Scouts for decades the importance of goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills and business ethics.

This year, the top cookie seller for Region 1/Service unit 111 and a member of Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont was Kaia Natalie Crowe, of Cherokee, who is a member of Girl Scout Daisy Troop 1811. She was honored locally at her Girl Scout Meeting at the Cherokee Youth Center on Thursday, May 2.
Crowe worked with her family to come up with a marketing plan and made it a point to reach out to the public during cookie season to sell cookies. She also participated in booth sales and had tremendous support from her school, friends, family members and parents. She gave up her Saturdays to go to work with her mother at Crowe’s Barber Shop where she had a table set up.
“I love selling cookies because I could help earn money for our troop which would help us be able to do things,” Crowe said. She is very thankful and would like to let all her customers know that she appreciates their support and help.
And it is not just selling the cookies Crowe enjoys. She also likes eating them. “My favorite cookie is the Peanut Butter Patties.” I even had a customer buy me a package. Thanks PJ!
