In their third week of the season, the Western Carolina War Eagles set out on a mission to win with authority. They made that perfectly clear in their routing of the Nashville Rampage at the new Ray Kinsland Stadium on Saturday, June 9.
The Rampage seemed to have a hard time dealing with the War Eagles’ defensive unit. As a whole the War Eagles had three interceptions on the night and one defensive touchdown caused by an excellent effort by the defensive line. The War Eagle offense did a superb job with their run game, grinding out three rushing touchdowns. The War Eagles were too much for the Rampage to handle offensively and defensively. Final score: War Eagles 27, Rampage 0.
War Eagles team officials stated, “The War Eagles would like to think their sponsors: Tribal Gaming Commission, Chad Cooper and Trificient Technologies. They would also like to thank all those involved with CCS, vendors, volunteers and fans that came out to show their support and allowing them to perform for them. Thank you all very much!”
