The Cherokee Lady Braves advanced to the Western Regional finals by beating the Murphy Lady Bulldogs 57-46 last night in Greensboro. They are set to play defending state champion Bishop McGuinness on Saturday, March 3 at 2pm at Fleming Gym on the campus of UNC-G. Bishop defeated River Mill Academy 56-45 in yesterday’s Western Regional semifinals.
In the Eastern Regional semifinals, Southside defeated Southeast Halifax 48-31 and Lakewood edged Goldsboro 64-63. Southside and Lakewood are set to square off in the Eastern Regional finals on Saturday, March 3 at 4pm at the Crown Coliseum.
