May 18 from 8am – 2pm at the Cherokee Indian Fairgrounds. This event, which is free of charge, is sponsored by the NAIWA Cherokee Chapter. Vendor space is available for $5/table. Schedule: 9am – opening ceremony, strawberry legend and children’s versions of strawberry legend; 10am – children’s activities including instructions in playing the Cornhole game; 11am – community entertainment and demonstrations; 1pm adult and youth contests, strawberry products such as baked goods, jams, preserves, etc. (must provide recipes); 2pm – prizes awarded.
