Ongeequay A-Ki-Ta Walkingstick (Quay), 22, of Cherokee, passed away unexpectedly in the early morning hours of Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018.
She is the daughter of Daniel Dean Walkingstick Sr. and the late Donna Roberta (George) Walkingstick. Alongside her father, she is also survived by her brothers, Johnny Walkingstick, William Walkingstick, and Shane Walkingstick, as well as her sister, Carla Walkingstick. Quay was preceded in death by her mother as well as her brothers, Daniel Walkingstick Jr., and Nicky Jack Walkingstick.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, Nov. 1 at Long House Funeral Home. Pastor Dan Conseen and Rev. James “Bo” Parris officiated. Burial followed Thursday’s service at the Walkingstick Family Cemetery.
The pall bearers were among friends and family.
Long House Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
