Item No. 17 – Communications Project of the EBCI is authorized to apply and accept funds from the Cherokee Preservation Foundation in the amount of $15,000 for FY17 – PASSED

 

Item No. 18 – EBCI Transit Program is authorized to submit an application package to the FTA’s TTP Public Transportation on Indian Reservations Program up to the amount of $146,249 available from remaining FTA FY16 funding, which will be used for administration and planning of public routes for the period of Oct. 1, 2017 through Sept. 30, 2019 – PASSED

 

Item No. 19 – EBCI Transit Program is authorized to submit an application package to the FTA’s TTP Public Transportation on Indian Reservation Program up to the amount of $758,931 for FY18 for continued operation of transit system – PASSED

 

Item No. 20 – EBCI Transit Program is authorized to submit an application package to the NCDOT ROAP/RGP up to the amount of $45,182 with a local match from passenger fares of 10 percent or $4,518 which will be used to provide eligible services for the period July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018 – PASSED

 

Item No. 21 – Commerce Division is authorized to submit and receive funding from the Division of Energy and Mineral Development seeking up to $123,000 for the purpose of conducting a development of a front-end processing system for the thermal distillation unit located on the Qualla Boundary for FY18 – PASSED

 

Item No. 22 – Health Delivery Administration program of the EBCI Public Health and Human Services Division be authorized to submit an application package to the National Indian Health Board in the amount of $10,500 for FY18 – PASSED

 

Item No. 23 – EBCI Family Safety Program be authorized to apply and accept funds from QJC-WD in the amount of $37,500 annually for FY18-22 – PASSED

 

Item No. 24 – Agricultural and Farming Division be authorized to apply and accept funds from DOE up to $1,380,236 for FY18 – PASSED AS AMENDED

 

Item No. 25 – Dora Reed Children’s Center is authorized to apply and receive these funds from the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services up to $259,288 for FY17 – PASSED

 

Item No. 26 – Tribal Council authorizes payment for legal fees incurred/accumulated thus far which have burdened the heirs in defense of the renegotiation lease T-S52-013-90 and that any future billing from Coward, Hicks, and Siler PA for the Thelma S. Johnson heirs be sent to the Finance Department for payment – HELD
