The Cherokee Indian Fairgrounds will buy 50 total gallons of ramps for the Rainbows and Ramps Elder’s Meal from EBCI tribal members during a buying event on Monday, March 21 at 9am at the Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall. Sellers must provide proof of EBCI enrollment with photo tribal ID.
The following amounts will be paid:
- $50 per packed gallon for white (no more than 2’ green)
- $40 per packed gallon for green (no more than 4” of green)
Five-gallon per turn per adult, and sellers must be 18 years of age or older. No frozen ramps will be accepted. After the quote is met on March 21, the Exhibit Hall porch will be available to sellers until 12pm to sell any remaining ramps.
