WRESTLING: Braves win big at Hiwassee Dam

MURPHY – The Cherokee Braves picked up a non-conference victory against the Hiwassee Dam Eagles by a score of 46-18 on Wednesday, Jan. 27.  Anthony Toineeta and Lloyd Mitchell led the Braves with a victory via pin fall while Seth Sneed won the 126lbs division by major decision.  The Braves also picked up five victories by forfeit.  The Eagles accumulated two wins by pin fall and one win by forfeit.

113 – Jonah Burnhisel (CHER) won by forfeit

126 – Seth Sneed (CHER) defeated Evan Dillard (HWDM) by major decision 15-7

132 – Michael Lambert (HWDM) pinned Kevin Jackson (CHER)

138 –Sam Sneed (CHER) won by forfeit

152 – Anthony Toineeta (CHER) pinned Aaron O’Connell (HWDM)

160 – Kenny Neal (HWDM) pinned Xavier Locust (CHER)

170 – Lucas Woodard (CHER) won by forfeit
