WNC Nonprofit Pathways held its first annual Building Strong Communities Award Luncheon on Friday, April 24 at Qualla Arts & Crafts Mutual. Two Cherokee organizations were recognized for their participation in WNC Nonprofit Pathways’ programs.
The Cherokee Boys Club and the Museum of the Cherokee Indian were recognized for investing their time and effort to better serve their community by participating in Pathways’ programs.
WNC Nonprofit Pathways provides training and assistance to community organizations across the western North Carolina mountains and is a collaboration of The Cherokee Preservation Foundation, The Community Foundation of Western North Carolina, Mission Hospital, and the United Way of Asheville and Buncombe County.
The Pathways collaboration believes that strong organizations make strong communities by providing a range of support to meet organizations where they are in their development and help them move forward.
