Cherokee’s Anthony Toineeta and Jaron Bradley have been named to the Smoky Mountain All-Conference wrestling team. Bradley took second place in the 145lb division at the state championships as well as second place at the 1A West Regional tournament and first place in the conference tournament. Toineeta took first place in the conference tournament in the 138lb division.
Spencer McCoy, an EBCI tribal member at Swain County High School, was also named to the All-Conference team. He won the state championship in the 220lb division as well as taking first place at both the 1A West Regional and the conference tournament. McCoy won three state championships in his high school career making him the first wrestler in conference history to accomplish that feat.
