Pamela (Conseen) Adams, 61, of 585 Laurel Cove Rd., Leicester, and a native of Cherokee, passed away on Feb. 13, 2015 at the Cherokee Indian Hospital following an extended illness.
Pamela was the daughter of the late Nancy Ann Conseen of Cherokee and made her home in Buncombe County in the Leicester Community. She made her way as a basket weaver and had received recognition in the past for her art craft. Pamela attended Sunnyside Missionary Church in her community.
She is survived by her children, son, Juston Adams of Leicester; daughters, Nancy Stump with husband Marcus of Alexander, Amber Allen with husband Brody of Leicester, and Ruth Adams of Leicester; brothers, Donald Conseen with wife Angie, Dan Conseen with wife Tracy, Andrew Duff and John Katz; sisters, Caroline Irene Smith with husband Lamar, Deb Conseen-Bradley with husband Craig and Martha Ledford with husband Calloway; uncle, Adam Conseen; seven grand children; ten special nieces and nephews and many, many special cousins and friends.
Calling hours are set for Monday, Feb. 16 from 11am – 2pm at the Macedonia Baptist Church along Hwy. 19 N. at 1181 Wolftown Rd. in Cherokee. A funeral will follow the same day starting at 2pm with her brother Pastor Dan Conseen, Pastor Neil Adams and Rev. James “Bo” Parris officiating. A private burial will follow services with family only in the Birdtown Cemetery in Cherokee.
