JACKSON COUNTY – The Jackson County Tourism Development Authority (TDA) is pleased to announce the launch of its new website, www.mountainloversnc.com, that will support the “Play On” branding campaign on Dec. 17 at 1 p.m. at the North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching Amphitheatre. The new and innovative site, created by The Brandon Agency, incorporates all of Jackson County’s unique attractions and amenities to inspire the loyalty of existing residents and future visitors. The site also positions Jackson County as a premiere tourist destination among outdoor enthusiasts.
“Our goal for this launch was to completely embody the ‘Play On’ campaign throughout the site,” said Robert Jumper, chairman of the Jackson County TDA. “Through doing so, visitors will now have access to all of the necessary resources needed to fully experience this extraordinary county. The website highlights the area’s stunning natural resources and provides endless options for families and outdoor lovers.”
Within the dynamic site, viewers will be able to access an abundance of information: from free planning guides and downloadable hiking maps to area news/events and special deals and offers from partners in the area. The site is also equipped with a weather widget that details the current forecast in each of the county’s diverse towns. For each season, the background of the website will coincide with the changing temperatures to match the beautiful scenery in the county. Visually, the site incorporates outdoor photography throughout and will even showcase action-packed videos of visitors and residents “playing on.”
“We have a thorough understanding of branding tourism destinations and bring this expertise to Jackson County’s marketing plan and website,” said Scott Brandon, CEO of The Brandon Agency. “We are pleased to drive interest and visitors to the area, and look forward to being their partner over the next few years.”
The “Play On” campaign is part of a comprehensive initiative by the Jackson County Tourism Development Authority with the professional guidance of internet marketing firm, Innsights; advertising firm, The Brandon Agency, and public relations agency, Pineapple Public Relations. The Jackson County Tourism Development Authority was developed in January 2013 by the Jackson County Board of Commissioners in an effort to create a strategic marketing plan to enhance the tourism industry in Jackson County.
