Kina (Granny Kina) Littlejohn, 94, of Cherokee, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2014 following an extended illness while staying at the Tsali Care Center.
She was the daughter of the late Jasper Queen and Luzene (Reed) Queen. She was a Homemaker, but was known to most as Granny Kina due to her loving, teaching and fostering of many children in the community through being a day care worker and foster parent.
She is survived by her children Mose Oocumma (wife Peggy), Annie Oocumma, Peggy “Dollie” Littlejohn, Ahli-sha Stephens (husband Jake), Henry Queen Littlejohn, Joe Oocumma, Clint Oocumma (wife Cassandra), Norma Davidson and Susan Oocumma; siblings, Henry Queen and Myrtle Bird; 21 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
Kina is preceded in death by her husband Boyd Littlejohn; son, Levi Oocumma; grandchildren, Kina-Marie Littlejohn and Kina Darlene Youngdog; brothers, Blaine, Jesse, Tom and Lewis Queen; sisters, Eva Wolfe, Annie Powell and Minnie Smith.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, Oct. 16 at Bethabara Baptist Church starting at 4pm. The funeral service will be held on Friday, Oct. 17 at 1pm. Burial will be at the Littlejohn Cemetery. Family will act as Pall Bearers. Pastor Eddie Sherrill, Pastor James “Bo” Parris and Pastor Richard Duke will officiate.
